The Persistence of Memory
Salvador Dali
This piece of art was made during the time period called surrealism--when artists would express what was in there minds but could not be possible in reality. What I like most about the artwork is the cool colors and the way he painted a scene that is believable but not possible.
Buddies
Keith Haring
Keith Haring is known for his colorful graffiti art. This piece uses contrast while the red heart adds just enough color.
Retroacitve
Robert Rauschenberg
This Rauschenberg collage is very expressive. I like that he incorporates world news from that time period by including JFK and space pictures to depict the Space Race.
Mona Lisa
Leonardo Da Vinci
I am intrigued by the Mona Lisa's smile. I also am amazed at the precise detail and his use of mathematics to create proportion--the Golden Mean
Campbell's Soup Can
Andy Warhol
I admire how Warhol was able to take an every day object and make artwork out of it. My pop art project was inspired by some of his works.
